Littering and litter picking

Keep Britain Tidy estimates that 2 million pieces of litter are dropped each day in the UK. Dropping litter is illegal and can result in a fixed penalty charge of up to £80, this can rise to £2,500 if the offender is prosecuted and convicted in court.

Often litter is associated with food and drinks wrapping, find out more about how you can reduce litter by using reusable options and reducing your waste.
