Where it is taken?

The mixed plastic is taken to Clean Tech in Hemswell where it is sorted into different grades of plastic by an optical sorting machine.

What happens to it?

The graded plastics are individually recycled and melted down into pellets which are used in the plastic manufacturing industry.

Milk containers are separated and made into new milk containers.

Black and brown plastics are sent to Morssinkhof Plastics Heerenveen B.V, the Netherlands https://www.morssinkhofplastics.nl/en/about-us/ for processing.
